Metal polishing to a high standard is certainly a skill and i have been lucky enough to taught by an expert with over thirty years experience.
My baptism into polishing was via working on endless amounts of stainless steel balustrades six days a week; so it tends to become second nature.
Each type of metal requires a specific technique and the correct application of type specific compounds to achieve the desired finish.
